Morning comes to me
At odd hours, for Time and I
Do battle, gently…
Autumn soul born of shadows
Twilight, midnight—dawn calls ‘sleep’
Rare now-n-then, eyes
Feast upon pale splendored day
Sun’s rays arise, shine…
God’s glorious grace rests light
On drowsy poet

This is such a great description of waking up. It is me every morning. A great poem, wonderfully written!

I am blessed to be a morning person, but I know many struggle. So well done!
