I’m not a photographer (can’t compete with great bloggers who are true artists), but I saw the prompt and thought, “I have some sky photos, why not?” This was taken from the window of my apartment, using my tablet.😊

Thanks much, Di–from you that means a lot, as your photos are always perfection.

Ah, my pics are just snap shots. I’ve been lucky in some since getting my new camera last year.

See, that’s the thing–I bought a small camera I thought would be easy to use. “Small” is an understatement–it arrived and fit in the palm of my hand, which meant Everything on it was too tiny for me to see/read…and the instructions were in a foreign language, also microscopic. The only good part of this story is that I donated it to a kids’ charity at Christmas (a teenage boy had requested a camera, so he got his wish!). And then I bought my tablet strictly for the camera in it, and have been a happy camper! I don’t use images from other sources now (other than some like yours)–I enjoy using my own photos, even if they’re not “professional”. It may expand my variety of posts, as until today I’ve not been able to do specific photo prompts 🙂

I took some lovely ones on the boat with my Nikon when I first got it, and finally got a smashing picture of a kingfisher! This latest one is a Canon photoshot and I’m very pleased with it, even if I don’t know what all the settings are for yet!

You’re very brave, eager to learn! And ooh, a kingfisher–have you posted it?? I’d love to see it.

Here you go Leslie. There are some nice pictures in this series actually, especially the moth which was huge!

It’s 20 past three in the afternoon here in the UK. What time is it where you are?

So you’re 8 hours behind us. When I worked for the bank, they were 5 hours behind us, but the offices I was responsible for were an hour ahead!

Oh my goodness, I’d get too confused! I do love those cool time zone converters on the web–helps a lot!

I could never get my head round the 11, 12 and 13 hour differences between the UK and NZ. Several times I’d ring Bro and it was something ridiculous in the middle of the night! Now when I call, I make it morning our time!

Hahaha–I’m betting he took your calls anyway!

He always said he had to get up to answer the phone anyway, but when I offered to call back, he said yes please!

It was the first time I’d seen one up close, but getting a picture of it was another matter.

My friend has been trying to get good pics and a video of hummingbirds–they’re too fast for her!
