5 A.M. Crisis

5 a.m. crisis

Across still dawn red flashes

Mean trouble nearby

Another neighbor’s poor health…

Aid workers’ lights paint pale sky

My prayers rise higher

Reaching Throne to beseech God

For comfort, mercies

    • Thank you, I don’t know what his status is currently. I didn’t witness anything besides the fire and aid vehicles arriving…and only because they pull in directly beneath my bedroom window, so it’s impossible to miss the flashing red lights and loud engine noise. All of my neighbors have disabilities of one kind or another, so emergency responders are here often. Thank you for reading, and your kind words. Blessings to you.
